Stage 2 (2024) “Is Ride Sharing All Right?”

This is an actual case study that was presented to the participants of the Financial Modeling World Cup 2024, Stage 2 (March 8-11).

Case description:

We’re going back to Fun City! This time, we are going to examine the economics for the drivers who take us around the city. In Section 1, you will analyze ride data to determine how much the drivers make per hour, considering waiting time and vehicle costs. In Section 2, you will evaluate the impact of a proposed rule: that no left-turns be allowed in Fun City. In theory, doing so can speed up the flow of traffic and reduce commute times.
