Your employer, Layton, is setting up an enormous wind farm project in the fictional country of Azran. Your co-worker, Emmy, has already set up a financial model for the project but has recently been promoted and the management of this project has fallen to you. The base case of the model has been set up fully but the sponsors and lenders are not seeing eye-to-eye on the financing structure. Both parties want to explore other metrics and scenarios for the project so they can find more agreeable terms.
This is an actual case study that was presented to the participants of the Financial Modeling World Cup 2022, Stage 6 (September 2-5). The downloadable file consists of the following:
