Ian Schnoor
Ian Schnoor is the Executive Director of the Financial Modeling Institute. In that role, he oversees the organization including its strategic direction. In 2002, Ian founded The Marquee Group, a leading provider of financial modeling training and consulting to professionals in the financial community.
Ian has led classes and webinars for thousands of business professionals and university students all over the world. Ian is passionate about teaching and brings a hands-on, interactive approach to every session.
Ian teaches a course called Advanced Financial Modeling at Queen’s University and is a past recipient of the Professor of the Year award in the Master of Finance program at the Smith School of Business.
Ian is also the creator of the Financial Modeling Practical Skills Module for CFA Institute which will be used by CFA Level 1 candidates. Ian began his career in the Investment Banking departments at Citigroup and BMO Capital Markets. Ian completed a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree with academic distinction and is also a CFA charter holder.
